The Actress

Camden played The Cat With the Fiddle in an amazing production of the classic musical E I E I Oops. She sang. She danced. She played an invisible fiddle and she smiled as if she were either in on the joke or, more likely, as if she were basking in the limelight.
Cooper presented Camden with roses after the show. He dressed up as a cowboy.
I'll try to link some video up here when I get a chance.

Lunch at The Spar

A cold afternoon in snowy Tacoma. We head to The Spar in Old Town Tacoma for a warm up. Unfortunately Dad thought it was a good idea to sit near the door.
If Cooper looks a little out of it, it's because he was sick.
Sick enough to hallucinate a little.
Camden is in rare story telling form. Munching a hamburger with mustard as the only topping.

Halloween Parties at School

Camden made cupcakes.
Cooper made a "ghost stick".
Mom and Dad visited class to help out.
Halloween is just 2 days away!
Stay tuned for some really scary and creepy stuff.

Camden's Poem for Dad

'Course By Camden Bryan
Dad I love you from head to toe
Dad I love you did you know?
Giving a hug every day
I will get you a horse that wil say "Nay"!
'Course you can hug me all you want
Out of a building I will trot!

Weekend at the Great Wolf Lodge

We celebrated Camden's 8th birthday by taking the family and Camden's friend Maleah to The Great Wolf Lodge. We first stopped at Cabela's to look at the stuffed animals.

We had lunch and said goodbye to the animals and hello to the long lines of the 90% occupied Great Wolf Lodge.

Cooper wasn't much for the water park but he loved the arcade.
He won some glow in the dark vampire fangs and did a little dance.
Check out his moves!
John Travolta would be jealous!

On Sunday night we carved pumpkins.
And I guess Camden did some face painting.

Camden is 8 years old today!

Princess Poot is 8 years old! We've always loved Camden even before she was born. She cried like a donkey that night "Eeee-Waaah!" Alison and I just looked and looked and looked at this tiny cute baby miracle all snuggled up in a hospital blanket. She had little monkey feet and would sometimes make piggy noises.
Now she's a second grader. An older sister. a great student and a funny little girl who can write stories ( like The Mystery of Mr Man) on the computer.
Tonight we celebrate at The Spaghetti Factory with Lansing and Alessio and then we'll go to The Great Wolf Lodge this weekend with Camden's friend Maleah.

School Pictures

School Pictures 2010. No toothy smiles for these guys. Dad appreciates the product placement in Cooper's shot. Coop's shirt says KING.

Whidbey Island Weekend

Camden loved the hot tub best.
Cooper loved the mountain of plastic trucks.

Whidbey Island weekend (2)

Alison and my romantic weekend got some company Saturday when we invited Kerrie to bring the kids to the house.
We fed Camden and Cooper in Langley and then just relaxed, played, went kayaking and watched TV.

The ferry is only a 20 minute ride between Clinton and Mukilteo.
It was Cooper's first ferry ride ever.
Both kids said "Whidbey" is their favorite island ever

Playing With The Photo Booth

Camden & Cooper have discovered the photo booth "app" on Dad's old Mac. So far they've only taken one shot of Cooper's butt (which we will leave unpublished).

Raise Your Hand

Kindergarteners must raise their hands when they see their parents so the teachers will dismiss them. Here Cooper, exhausted after a long week of full day Kindergarten, raises his hand when he sees Mom and Dad.

Camden's room as designed by Alison. Lots of color and quite a few ugly dolls.

"Doo Doo Only"

Could this become an annual tradition? Photo of Camden and Cooper next to the Doo Doo Only bin outside one of the cow barns at the Puyallup Fair. They agreed to pose for this picture but only if I would let them see what was inside.
Our parking and entry fees were taken care of by The Fair because I helped judge the Ghiradelli Chocolate recipe contest. Talk about your no-win situation. I'm sure a bunch of chefs are upset by the results. But not as upset as my stomach.

Bedtime Book

Camden and I are reading Flush by Carl Hiaasen. It's about a brother and sister who team up to save the ocean from a casino boat operator who is flushing waste overboard.

First Day of School

We walked Camden and Cooper to their first day of school, 2010. Camden will be 8 next month. She starts Second Grade with Mrs Sterbick. Cooper turned 5 in May. He starts Kindergarten with Mrs Hansen. He already had 6 friends from his days at North Tacoma Montessori. Both love their teachers and both say they love school.

Camden Appears on "New Day Northwest"

She helped Margaret Larson make alternative butter sandwiches for a segment with PCC and then did a dance to show off her sparkling tennis shoes. This link will work for a while.
